Sailing the Archipelagos of Stockholm

If you’ve ever been to the beautiful port city of Stockholm, you know exactly why sailing through the archipelagos is such a pleasurable experience. The capital of Scandinavia is blessed with one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. Sailing the archipelagos of Stockholm takes several hours (depending on the size of your ship), but is well worth the time invested if you have the opportunity.

As we sailed through the archipelagos, we encountered many sail boats, kayaks, speed boats, and ferries that were enjoying the gorgeous views and the water itself.

There are hundreds of gorgeous houses that line the coast. The cost of living is extremely high in Stockholm, so I can only imagine how much one of these homes may cost.

We stood on the helipad of our ship for hours as we admired the scenery around us. It was May in Stockholm, but we were still bundled up as we enjoyed the cool weather as a refreshing change of pace from the South.

The sun finally began to set around 10:45 PM, and we were amazed by one of the most beautiful sunsets that we’ve ever seen. The sky transformed from a subtle orange to a beautiful pink and blue watercolor sky. It was the perfect end to our time in such a wonderful city.

Have you been to Stockholm to enjoy the beautiful archipelagos on the outskirts of the city? Was your experience as pleasurable as ours? Tell me about your experience in the comments.
